Grizz's Story
Meet Grizz!

Grizz has mastered the art of being handsome, goofy, smart, and incredibly well-trained!

This once scrappy, stinky stray is now a proper gentleman after graduating obedience classes with Kathy at Niagara K9 Training Center, LLC.

When Grizz first arrived, he had a terrible skin infection and a “do what I want” attitude. With time, patience, and consistency, our team showed him that good things come to those who work for them — and Grizz rose to the challenge. He learned structure, earned rewards, and even became muzzle-trained. Now, he’s ready to work for you!

Personality & Training

Grizz is a brilliant, driven dog who thrives when his mind and body are kept active. He’s not a couch potato — he’s an adventure buddy, training partner, and loyal companion all rolled into one.

His ideal home is with someone who:

Has German Shepherd or working-dog experience

Can continue his obedience work and mental enrichment

Appreciates a smart dog who loves to learn

Grizz is good with other dogs, especially with dogs smaller than him. We don’t know how he feels about cats. Since we have no history with children, a home with adults or older kids would be best.

His Story

Grizz was found as a stray and brought to the Niagara County SPCA in rough shape. He was underweight, missing fur, and with worn-down teeth from chewing rocks. Despite his rough past, he quickly showed his fun-loving, affectionate side.

He was briefly adopted, but unfortunately returned after the new adopter failed to follow protocol and put Grizz in a stressful and compromising position. Because the SPCA doesn’t re-adopt dogs returned for nip incidents, Grizz’s options became limited. Thankfully, Against All Oddz stepped in to give him a real second chance.

Since joining our sanctuary, Grizz has thrived. He’s social, affectionate, playful, and eager to please. He loves his toys, enjoys walks, and absolutely adores cuddle time.

He’s been nothing short of a gentleman! He is calm, housebroken, and sweet.

Ideal Home

Grizz doesn’t have a laundry list of special needs ... just a calm, confident owner committed to maintaining his training.

The Basics

5 years old

100 lbs of pure Shepherd charm

Well-trained and housebroken

Good with smaller dogs

Needs an experienced, confident owner

No known history with cats or young children

If you’re looking for a ruggedly handsome, loyal, and obedient best friend who’s overcome the oddz and is ready for his forever home, Grizz is your guy.

Apply today to meet Grizz and give this deserving boy the home he’s been waiting for!

againstalloddzaa@gmail.com

Darien Center, NY
