Meet Grim
Introducing Grim, a 2-year-old Great Dane who's as solid as they come. He's a gentle giant, getting along famously with both dogs and people. Currently bunking in a foster home with a male Dane pal named Chewy, a senior lady Dane diva named Luna, and even a cat who doesn't mind his company. He and Chewy are best buds and love to zoomie around the big backyard together.
Grim is great with big and smaller dogs, and his leash manners are top-notch. Basic commands are still a work in progress, but he's a quick study.
When he's not out for a stroll, Grim's all about the snuggles. He's a big leaner and loves nothing more than rubbing his head against you for attention. Oh, and he's been known to boop noses with the resident cat.
Grim is generally a social butterfly with all, but can become protective over his foster momma, particularly if they are large men, inside the home. Proper introductions are key. If properly introduced outside first, he's fine. He just doesn't like drop in surprises.
His backstory's a bit rough – he was brought into rescue after being surrendered to a local shelter covered in fresh wounds and old scars, and severely underfed. But thanks to some TLC from his foster fam, he's back in action.
Neutered, vaccinated, and chipped, Grim's ready for his forever home.
Grim isn't just any Great Dane – he's one of the gentlest giants you'll ever come across. His calm demeanor and sweet nature make him the perfect candidate for a family looking to welcome their first Dane into the fold.
Despite his breed's reputation for size, Grim's on the smaller side for a Dane, making him an ideal introduction to the world of giant breeds. So, if you've been considering adding a Dane to your family but hesitated due to their size, Grim might just be the perfect fit. With his easygoing personality and loving disposition, he's ready to find his forever family now!
Just one thing to note: Grim's got a habit of tipping over the trash if it's left out. But hey, nobody's perfect…
If you're on the hunt for a loyal, easygoing companion, Grim's your guy. No frills, just a whole lot of heart.
Grim is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. His adoption fee is $400. To read over the adoption requirements before applying to adopt, go to www.nwflgdr.com/adopt.
Please note: NWFLGDR does not transport. All approved adopters are required to pick up the dog in person from his or her Foster parent.
