Griffin's Story
Meet Griffin!

Griffin is a big, goofy Bullmastiff with a playful spirit, a soft side, and a huge personality. He is curious, food-motivated, eager to learn, and wonderfully expressive. Once Griffin decides you are one of his people, he brings the full Mastiff experience: ENORMOUS body leans, face rubs for scratches, belly rubs, fetch, tug, and an unbelievably enthusiastic greeting when you arrive.

He loves learning with positive reinforcement and already knows sit, down, touch, off, and is building a solid recall. Griffin enjoys walks, play, sniffing, and peaceful downtime with his people. He has played appropriately with male and female dogs of different sizes, adapts his play style to his partner, and takes canine corrections very well.

*Important to know*
Griffin has a documented bite history. PF will fully discuss the known history, what we have learned, and Griffin’s management needs with serious foster and adoption applicants before any placement.

He can be anxious in new situations and does best with predictable routines, positive handling, and people who respect his boundaries while trust develops. Griffin is comfortably basket-muzzle trained; this is a responsible safety and confidence-building skill, and PF will coach an approved caregiver on when and how to use it.

Griffin has had two professional behavioural assessments. The assessors saw a sweet, friendly, socially appropriate, responsive, and trainable young dog, while also emphasizing the value of predictable routines, clear communication, and thoughtful introductions.

*The home we’re looking for*
We are looking for someone patient, observant, teachable, and committed to positive training. You do not need to have owned a Mastiff or managed a behaviour case before. You do need to be willing to follow Griffin’s plan, respect his boundaries, and let trust develop at his pace.

An adult-only home is preferred, but a home with older, dog-savvy children will be considered.

A detached house, acreage, and fenced yard are not required. An apartment or condo may be suitable if Griffin has room for physical distance, a quiet resting area, and thoughtful management of entrances and visitors.

*How PF will support the right match*
PF is open to adoption or foster-to-adopt for the right home, as well as foster placement. Griffin’s regular caregivers will provide onboarding, shared walks, and a written transition plan. If you think you may be a fit, please begin with an inquiry so we can talk candidly about Griffin’s history, strengths, and the support he will need to succeed.
