💛 Meet Gray -- a gentle, loyal boy who just wants someone to love. Gray is a 41⁄2-year-old, 60-lb brown-and-gray sweetheart who has been with us for over seven months, hoping the right person will finally notice him. He came from a quiet home with a single owner who adored him, and losing that life has been very hard on him. Gray loves people deeply -- he was the neighborhood favorite, known by everyone (even the UPS driver who brought him treats!). He enjoys sitting in the sunshine, watching the world go by, and being close to his person. At home, he's a total snuggle buddy: a couch potato, bed hog, TV watcher, and silly "helper" who likes to carry things around. He loves peanut butter treats and being talked to and petted. Gray is looking for a calm, patient home where he can feel safe again and be someone's best friend. If you've been hoping for a loyal companion who will adore you endlessly... ADOPTING AN ANIMAL Adopting a shelter animal is one of the most rewarding things you can do. The dog or cat will pay you back with unlimited unconditional love and will provide many hours of devoted companionship. Studies also prove that owning an animal has many health benefits such as soothing stress and lowering blood pressure. Just keep in mind that taking an animal into your home is a commitment for the lifetime of that animal. A dog can live up to 16 years or more; a cat even longer. You will need to think about that animal's veterinary care, feeding, exercise, and general well being. To adopt from our shelter, you must fill out an application with references and veterinarian. In some instances, you may be asked to fill out a pre-adoption form. Upon approval, you may adopt. We do not hold animals. Adoptions are on a first come basis. We reserve the right to refuse.
