Gretchen

*Currently fostered in Arlington, VA*

Are you looking for the perfect 1st dog, or looking to add a super calm, and sweet older gal to your home? Well, meet Gretchen! This girl is the real deal and deserves nothing but the best in her golden years. Gretchen was found on the streets of Texas as a senior who was pregnant and heartworm positive. Given her age, the shelter made the choice to perform a spay abort so Gretchen didn't have to live her life as a senior caring for puppies. Gretchen clearly had an owner at some point. She came well-behaved knowing basic commands, gentle as they come, and loyal through and through.

There isn't one person or animal that Gretchen isn’t great with. She loves her daily walks and greets every human and animal with a wagging tail.

Gretchen has already started her heartworm treatment that FCAR is paying for and completing. In 30 days, she’ll be done her treatment and ready to slowly start back to living her best life. She’s ready to start that path with her new forever family now. NOTE: Heartworms are not contagious and are contracted by a single mosquito bite that is easily preventable with monthly prevention. After Gretchen’s treatment, she will be heartworm free.

If you’re looking to give this gal the life she deserves during her golden years, apply now at ForeverChangedAR.org.

If you’re viewing this on Petfinder, please head to our website to apply.
