Meet Gretchen: a 65 pound, 1 year old, female German Shepherd looking for her forever home.

* She was found running as a stray at Suggs Park in Collierville, and brought to our shelter.
* Gretchen is a very loving and sweet girl! She loves people and will jump on you and give lots of kisses.
* She knows sit on command
* She is reactive to other dogs, typical to a young German Shepherd, on the leash and can be a barker! She’s a vocal dog.
* She responds well to training and needs an owner who is going to work with her.
* She is athletic and playful and loves going out to the yard to play with top toys and tennis balls.
*Gretchen is potty trained and holds it and doesn’t mess up her kennel.
*She is a strong puller on lead but is working on lead manners.

*We don’t recommend very small children due to her size and strength, but Gretchen could be a good fit for older kids!
* Gretchen is dog-selective.
