Gretchen's Story
AN INQUIRY FROM PETFINDER IS NOT AN APPLICATION! READ THE ENTIRE POST FOR INFORMATION HOW TO APPLY.

Please note: Gretchen is not hypoallergenic and does shed.

Meet Gretchen! Gretchen is a 3 month old terrier mix puppy. She currently weighs about 8 pounds, but is still quite the growing pup. While we expect her full grown weight to be under 25 pounds, we can not accurately predict that, so if you need a pup guaranteed to be a specific size, she is not the pup for you. Gretchen and her litter arrived in rescue after a call brought code enforcement to their home and they were surrendered as the family could not properly care for them. They have since been raised in loving foster homes (the litter is not all in the same foster home) and are thriving. Gretchen is still very much a puppy and learning all of her life skills, so she will need a family that is up for that long term - which means house training, leash training, learning what to chew and not chew, continued socialization and positive reinforcement. Her foster mom says: Gretchen is such an amazing girl! She loves her people and wants to be with them, so she will sometimes cry when she is crated, but she does settle down. However, her cries are vocal so a home with shared walls is not ideal for her. Gretchen never misses a chance to play and loves to romp around with her toys and with our pups. A senior pup would not be an ideal fur friend for her though as she does have a lot of energy. She is very smart and wants to "supervise" whatever is going on so she can learn how to do it too! She loves older kiddos and does weill with them. Overally, Gretchen is a really great girl!

Gretchen is spayed, up to date on vaccines, on flea and heartworm prevention and microchipped.

Gretchen is fostered in the Orlando area and her adoption donation is $450. If you are interested in applying to adopt Gretchen, please visit www.floridalittledogrescue.com to read the adoption process and complete an application! Please note that emails simply asking "Is this dog available" will not be returned, as applications are worked in the order received and availability largely depends on when you apply:) Please also know we do not adopt out of state! Thank you!
