Greta- CP's Story

Courtesy Posting

Greta is a beautiful, 5-year-old mixed-breed girl weighing 56 lbs. with a lovely brindle coat. Greta grew up in Florida with her Dad and his son, where she enjoyed a large fenced yard and rode in the sidecar of her owner's motorcycle! When her Dad was diagnosed with dementia, Greta moved to upstate New York and lived with extended family for a time, getting along well with the family's resident dog, a cat, and a turtle. However, it was a temporary stay as the family was unable to give her a permanent home.

Currently, Greta lives with her foster mom and two dogs in VT. While she gets along with the two resident dogs, Greta often keeps to herself. She has had many changes in her life and is hoping for a home where she can be given one-on-one attention, which she had in her younger years. Greta loves to snuggle on the couch, is house-trained, and well-behaved with nice house manners. She has discovered dog and chew toys, which she loves! She amuses herself playing with rope toys, throwing them in the air, and running after them. When she is especially happy and excited, her teeth chatter! Greta walks well on a leash without pulling, and is still practicing walking in a straight line. She is also a well-behaved girl at the groomer's, and this smart girl understands both German and English!

Greta just wants to be loved and included. Because we don't know if Greta has met young children, a home with older or no children would be best for her. She is an intelligent dog who often sits straight and serious, watching your every move. She is a happy dog who is now vaccinated, spayed, and ready to meet you.
