Gravy's Story

Best way to start your day is with a yummy breakfast, right? Well, we have a litter of Heelers who will start your day with just what you need. Four months old, they're going to mature to around 40 pounds although they weigh about 15 now. Their names are Grits, Pancake, Pop Tart, Waffle, Gravy, and Oatmeal! These babies are kind and loving, dog friendly and water-loving! They have a great time racing around the yard and, when tired, plopping into naps that will last only however long it takes for their energy to return, and then they're up and playing again! This includes gravy who has lost a rear paw probably the result of a birth defect. This doesn't stop him, though! Especially when he wears a bootie as he chases all the others! Breakfast of Champions! (posted 9/24/25, ME) Adoption Fee: $395.00-- covers microchip, worming, all vaccines, monthly heart worm preventative, monthly tick/flea preventative, spaying/neutering, health certificate, and complete medical records. Transport Fee: $160.00-- We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. **

Crossing Paths Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
Crossing Paths Animal Rescue is not a shelter, our dogs are in a network of foster homes.   We have transports of adopted dogs to Hagerstown, MD area and as far north as NEWTOWN, PA (and points along the way)  at least every 6 weeks.   Please see our website for adoption and transport fee info.   www.crossingpathsanimalrescue.org                                                         If you are interested in any of our dogs, the first step is to submit  the application found on our website.  List any  dogs that interest you in order of preference.  If you don't see anything right now, check back often as we update frequently. When your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the dog's foster mom/dad who will answer any questions you may have and so that the foster may get a feel for your situation and determine if the dog will be a good fit for your particular household. If all that ends on a positive note, we'll finalize the adoption (process payment) and schedule the dog for transport, if needed.   If you are uncomfortable adopting a dog without a prior face-to-face meeting and you are in the PA/NJ area, we have adoption events several times per year at a local  Petsmart in NEWTOWN, PA for which we bring up 15-20 adoptable dogs.  Watch our website for up coming events. * PLEASE NOTE:  We review the applications in order of receipt and many of our potential adopters who are otherwise qualified miss out on a dog that has stolen their hearts because the application came in later than others of equal merit.  Here's my advice:  file the application ASAP.  Don't waste time sending an inquiry asking info on the dogs and if they are available.  We , on the front lines, don't know each dog personally; what we do know is in the description we have provided on Petfinder . We will let you know if the dog is available or not upon receipt of your application and, if not, give you the opportunity to select another.
