Grady Boy!!!'s Story

We are not sure if Grady is Purebred- He does appear bigger in the picture. He is a little guy!!
These are a few comments for his foster parent. Great little dog who loves boating by the way!!!

"Grady is a one-year-old, 15-pound Chihuahua–Rat Terrier mix who almost didn’t make it out of the shelter. Labeled as “aggressive,” he was really just terrified. He spent days hiding and shaking in the corner of his kennel, especially when men walked by. Just before his time ran out, the volunteer community made a last-minute plea, and through the Give a Home, Share a Home program, a foster stepped up to save him.

Once in his foster home, the “aggressive” dog disappeared. Grady showed zero aggression with the family or the three other dogs in the house. Instead, he revealed his true personality—housebroken, energetic, spunky, and incredibly smart. In under three days, he learned his new name and how to sit.

Grady still shows some fear around strangers and needs a little time to feel comfortable, but once he does, he becomes a big, loyal love. He thrives with a little patience, kindness, and an active household that will give him the security he needs.
He takes treats gently, isn’t food aggressive, and has quickly become the best snuggler in the house. Grady loves to play and would do great in a home with a medium-sized, active dog. He’s submissive in his pack but full of happy energy, and he’s already learning to be gentler during play.
He walks well on a leash, isn’t bothered by bikes or strollers, and is learning not to bark at other dogs and people. He does well with off-leash introductions to friendly, social dogs.
He is still a puppy so when we go out, we put him in a crate. He doesn’t chew on furniture and enjoys playing with toys.
Grady loves sleeping with his foster family".
Grady found his second chance—and now he’s ready to share his heart with a forever familyHis adoption fee is $200. He is fully vetted and neteured.
