Gracie's Story

Gracie may have a wonky leg, but don’t tell her that—she’s too busy playing, snuggling, and loving life.

This sweet, gentle girl came from the same sad situation as her sister Maudie, born with a congenital leg condition that hasn’t slowed her down one bit. Gracie can jump on and off the couch, gets around easily, and is full of wiggles and joy.

She loves toys, treats, and especially playing with other dogs—in fact, she’d really enjoy having a canine buddy in her forever home. She’s very affectionate and prefers to snuggle up to another pup if given the choice, often following her foster fur siblings into their crate! But she can do just fine on her own too.

Gracie is:

Crate trained and sleeps soundly at night
House trained
Quiet, gentle, and naps often throughout the day
Very food motivated and absolutely loves treats and toys
Still learning to walk confidently on a leash, so a fenced yard is a big plus

Gracie may be a little shy when she first meets you, but it doesn’t take long before she’s melting into your arms and asking for snuggles. She has a quiet kind of sweetness that grows stronger each day as she feels safe and loved.

She's smart, observant, and ready to learn. We verify references for our fosters and volunteers to make sure our rescued animals have the best care while waiting for their forever homes. Likewise, we ask any potential adopter fill out and submit our adoption application prior to scheduling a meet and greet with a pet in a foster home. This does not obligate you to adopt, but it is the first step towards being added to our approved list of adopters. Applicants are approved pending vet reference and personal reference checks, and a home visit. All current animals in the home must be spayed/neutered, current on age-appropriate vaccines as well as heartworm and flea prevention and any information provided on an application will be verified. Thank you for your patience with our process! We are grateful you are looking to adopt your next pet.
