Gracie's Story
I'm Gracie, a joyful, playful, wiggly American Staffordshire terrier wanting so very much to spend my senior years in a forever home.

I'm a happy girl who loves people so much, I can't contain myself and I shake and wiggle head to tail when I greet them. I have a lot of love to give and I adore being with people.

I love the walks, car rides, playtime (especially fetch!) and adventures I have with staff and volunteers at the Humane Society of York County. And the snuggles. Nothing is better than getting out and being with my people!

I'm medium size, about 50 pounds. I came to HSYC as a stray and have had a difficult journey. I was adopted twice and returned, so HSYC invested in professional training for me. It turns out that I'm a very smart girl, and I have so many amazing skills now.

I'm a great leash walker and know other important things too, like sit, down and stay.

I will need to be the only pet in my forever home. I need a home that is calm, dog-experienced and committed to keeping up my training as a fun and happy part of my life. That also means no small children for me.

I'm a senior girl (my estimated birth date is about April 2014) and would thrive in a stable, consistent home environment. I've been in the shelter too long now, and I promise to show you my famous shake, rattle and roll if you come meet me!If you wish to meet me, please call the Humane Society of York County at (803)-802-0902 to schedule an appointment.

Please refer to our website for adoption requirements: https://humanesocietyofyorkcounty.org/adopt/adoption-process.html

Thank you for your support.
