Gracie's Story
Gracie Has a Lot to See and Plenty of Time for Pets

Gracie wakes up every day with the general attitude that something wonderful is probably happening outside and she would like to go see it.

Born in May 2026, our gorgeous Heeler/Collie mix is one of those puppies who just seems genuinely delighted by life. Open the door and off she goes, happily hopping through the grass with her pup siblings, exploring the yard, checking out whatever catches her eye, and taking in the world like she cannot believe all of this came with the place.

A new smell? Wonderful. The other puppies headed toward the tree? She should probably see what that’s about. Something interesting on the other side of the yard? Well now we have an afternoon.

Gracie LOVES other dogs. She is playful, social, and happiest having pup friends to share her adventures with. She would love a dog sibling in her forever home—someone to romp with, explore beside, and help show her all the important things a growing puppy needs to know.

But even Gracie’s most exciting discoveries have some pretty serious competition. You.

This happy little girl can be right in the middle of exploring, spot one of her people, and happily put the entire investigation on hold. Oh good. Loves. And here she comes.

Gracie absolutely adores affection. She’ll come hopping over, lean into you, and soak up every pet like this was clearly the best development of the day. She may head back out afterward to continue exploring. She may decide she’s perfectly happy right where she is.

Gracie keeps her options open. And once you start petting her, you’ll understand why stopping is difficult because this girl’s hair is unbelievably soft. Not regular puppy soft. The kind of soft that makes you pet her twice just to confirm what happened the first time. We’re not entirely sure how Gracie ended up with hair this soft, but whatever is floating around in that family tree clearly brought something to the table.

That’s what makes Gracie so special. She has this beautiful balance of curiosity and affection. She loves exploring. She loves playing. She loves other dogs. She loves her people. And when the day slows down, she’s perfectly happy slowing down with it and settling in beside someone she loves.

She’s also very smart and eager to please. Gracie is still a young puppy learning all the usual things—potty training, crate training, leash walking, and basic manners—and she’s at such a fun age to teach. She’s engaged with people, loves praise and affection, and has that bright little brain that makes you excited to see who she grows up to be.

But our favorite thing about Gracie might just be how happy she is.

She hops because walking apparently doesn’t always adequately express the mood. She explores because there’s an entire world sitting right there waiting to be discovered. She plays because she loves her dog friends. And she stops in the middle of all of it to come get loved on because apparently a great day can always get a little better.

Somebody is going to get to spend years watching this sweet girl discover her world—new places, new adventures, new favorite spots, and all the little things she hasn’t even met yet.

And somewhere along the way, Gracie is going to discover her favorite thing of all: A family she gets to come hopping back to.

+++++++

ADOPTION APPLICATION:
https://form.jotform.com/260401018308040

+++++++

Gracie is currently being fostered in Texas and will be transported to the perfect forever home by our rescue! We have transports departing each week!

+++++++

The Truth About Rescue:

Every rescue pup is a work in progress and thats the beauty of it. None of them come wrapped in a bow, ready-made or mistake-free. They come with stories, quirks, and hearts that have seen a lot but still choose to trust again.

Adoption isnt about perfection; its about presence. Showing up for them, every day, until they know theyre finally home. Thats when youll see them bloom soft and steady into the very best version of themselves. And somewhere along the way, youll realize they were never the only one being rescued.

+++++++

Once we have received your application, we will review and reach out to set-up an interview with one of our volunteers! If you have additional questions, please email us at SaintMuttsInquiries@gmail.com.

Note: As with all of our rescues, we recommend homes with children 10 years and over to ensure the best fit for both the pets and families involved.

Check out all of our adoptable pups and learn more about our rescue on our website: www.stmuttsrescue.com
