GRACIE's Story

GRACIE is a beautiful mixed-breed girl with absolutely stunning Husky-blue eyes — they’re the first thing you’ll notice, but her sweet, steady personality is what truly makes her special.

She is wonderful with other dogs. In fact, we especially love pairing her with young male dogs who come into the rescue — she plays with them, helps burn off their energy, and gently teaches them better manners along the way. She has that perfect balance of playful and wise.

After playtime, Gracie is more than happy to come inside and enjoy a long, cozy nap. She’s a lovely mix of active and relaxed, making her an easy companion to live with.

Gracie came into the rescue with her babies and has been an amazing mom. Now it’s her turn to be someone’s baby. She’s approximately 4 years old and was born on one of the reservations we work with. Her adoption fee includes her spay, vaccines, deworming, and microchip.

We are seeking a home for Gracie in the Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, White Rock, or Los Alamos areas. She would do beautifully as an only dog or with a compatible male dog companion. A secure 5’+ fence is required.

If you think Gracie might be the right fit for your family, please email desertpawsnm@gmail.com to check availability and begin the application process. We would love to introduce you (and your fur babies!) to this stunning, steady girl and help her find the forever home she deserves.
