Gracie's Story
ADOPTABLE WEIM-GRACIE
My foster family calls me Miss Gracie, Gracie Grey, and when I'm particularly cute Madame Gracie. I'm a girl that had a rough start. I was left outside in the cold with just a barn and not much love or manners but that hasn't stopped me! They think I'm about 5 years old. Once I came inside and discovered couches and humans to snuggle, I knew that this was the life for me! I don't want to be outside alone ever again. My fosters have a big fenced yard that we play in, and I'm learning about chew toys and how to fetch. I do my best to be a very good girl and pay attention when my name is called and I also know my sit, down, wait, and to get a human when I want to go outside to do my business. I've never had an accident in the house - I learned quickly to knock on the door or ring the string of bells. I used to jump to get attention and paw, but the humans prefer that I don't and I do my very best and keep working on being better. Instead, I lean into them or give light kisses to get their attention for pets. I take treats gently and don't guard over food or toys. I get along with the boy dogs in the house, another weim that lets me share couches with him and a corgi that tries to herd me. I've grumbled at him a few times but we worked it out peacefully. I'm scared if people raise their voices. My fosters give me warm showers every week and trim my nails, I like all the attention and pampering. Crates are scary, we don't like them at all. Beds, we love beds and pillows and fluffy blankets to nest in. I'll nap and snuggle all day long. If I can't sleep in your bed, I want to have my bed beside yours - just in case you need a snuggle. There have been human house guests and they all adore me, I had to woof at them when they were outside but I calmed down as soon as they offered pets and the foster humans welcomed them in. I sing sadly when the humans go out without me but I'm not destructive. I also sing with ambulances and firetrucks! If you are looking for a beautiful snuggle babe to love on and be your shadow and companion for any and all adventures, I'm the girl for you! I am up to date on vaccines, spayed, and come with a microchip.
Located in Bloomington, IN.
*Her owner stated she had lived with a cats at some point and was fine. She has not been around cats since in foster.
