Meet Gracen - fluffy wallflower
**** Adopter must have another dog.****
For a few weeks, Gracen was Black Dog 2 (Black Dog is a Richmond legend) after escaping from a foster home and resurfacing in Windsor Farms. With the help of many community members, we were able to get her back. After time with a foster, she is ready for adoption. She can still be timid and will need a patient family, but she will approach people and look for attention. She has learned to play with another dog who is helping her adjust and absolutely loves squeaker toys. She is highly food motivated, which really helps with training.
Until Gracen is very comfortable in her home, she is a flight risk, so she must be on a leash, or tie line, even in a fenced yard. She is almost completely house-training, only using puppy pads in the house occasionally.
Gracen’s adopter must have at least one dog, who will help her learn the ropes of being a house dog and give her confidence and companionship. She is learning to trust and live with people; she has made great strides.
