Gordon

Gordon is an approximately 10-11 year old, 70+# neutered male Gordon Setter, possibly a Gordon Setter mix. As a young dog, he was impounded from a neglectful home situation. But he has spent the past 5 years in a loving multi-dog household. Gordon now needs to find a new living situation for his senior years.<br/><br/>He is a gentle boy, who welcomes a soft bed away from the hustle and bustle of the house, but close enough to keep a watchful eye. He alerts when someone is near his current home. As with many Gordon Setters, his bark is described as a bit intimidating to strangers. He is housetrained and responsive to commands. He walks well on leash and travels well in the car. He loves soft toys and to play tug. Gordon can be anxious in thunderstorms and if he hears fireworks. He can run if frightened and should have a secure fenced yard in which to play.<br/><br/>He has been around children but given his age, an all-adult home or a home with older children or teens might be the best fit for him.<br/><br/>Please consider opening your heart and home to this sweet boy.<br/><br/>Gordon is located in western/central New York state.
