Goose's Story

Meet Goose!

***This pets adoption fee has been sponsored, meaning there is no cost to adopt him from us!***

He is estimated to be about 2yrs old.

This handsome boy is looking for a new forever home! He is truly a big baby that loves attention!

Goose is apart of a hoarding case we recently took on where there were about 30 Husky mixes living in one home in Holland Michigan. Unfortunately the owner passed away, and prior to his passing he suffered from some physical and mental health issues that made it difficult for him to pick up after so many dogs and he struggled to give them away when they were puppies as he didn’t want to separate the moms from their babies. Gooses former owner truly loved all of the dogs in his care, and they all loved him. When we arrived at the house to remove the dogs, there was a TV playing the opening theme song/menu of the movie “Top Gun” on repeat, hence Gooses name!

These pups are not your typical “Hoarding” case dogs as they are all very sweet, well mannered and well behaved, they are crate trained, they know some basic commands, and they understand the concept of potty training! (Although we never guarantee that a pup will not have accidents going into a new environment)

Goose is fixed, fully vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, heartworm negative and started on preventatives!

He is good with other dogs and is good with kids (Although he is very skittish so older kids 10+ is recommended). However we do not believe he is good with cats and would likely chase them. He can be skittish at times, so we are recommending a securely fenced in yard to properly contain him, as he is not yet very comfortable on leash.

To inquire about adopting this very sweet boy, please email us or follow the prompts through petfinder to fill out an application

For EVERY adoption we require an approved application (which includes a vet reference), a meet and greet with the potential adopters current dogs/children/family members, submission of pictures of the applicants home and yard, a contract signing, and an adoption fee. The adoption is finalized usually after the meet and greet (which usually only takes 30mins). We do offer Foster-to-adopt scenarios for some adoptions that we want to make sure are going to work out before finalizing things!
