Goose's Story

Meet Goose!

Your new best friend and professional snuggle buddy. Goose is a young adult mixed-breed dog (with just a touch of unicorn, obviously) and 100% Good Boy!

Have you ever wondered what would happen if you crossed a teddy bear with a four-legged ray of sunshine? Wonder no more — because Goose is on the loose!

About three years old, Goose loves humans of all shapes and sizes and firmly believes that every new person is a potential best friend who just doesn’t know it yet. He’s affectionate, playful, and happiest when he’s by your side — personal space is merely a suggestion in Goose’s book.

Goose is smart, eager to please, and very trainable — he already knows how to sit and shake for a treat! He can get a bit strong on leash (there’s just so much to see and sniff!), but he’s working on that and improving every day. He’s also crate trained and house trained — basically the total package.

Goose is looking for:
A family who will appreciate his winning personality and devastating good looks
Humans who understand that cuddles are a full-contact sport
A co-pilot for all of life’s adventures

Because of Goose's boisterous approach to life, he would do best in a home with adults only or with older (teenage) children.

Bottom line: Goose isn’t just a dog — he’s a tail-wagging, face-licking, adventure-seeking bundle of joy wrapped in a perfectly dog-shaped package.

Humane Society of Loudoun County's Adoption Policy
We want to make sure each adoption is successful and that each animal is adopted into a family that is the right fit for everyone. All our animals are fully vetted and are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. For our adoption process we will arrange a meet and greet between potential adopters and the animal after an application is submitted. We ask for 2 personal references, check to make sure current animals are vaccinated then we schedule a virtual interview, which is an interview to discuss how to intergrate the new arrival into the household, food, equipment, etc. We do not have many requirements except that all cats/kittens be kept Indoors only, that they not be declawed, and that if any adoption does not work out for any reason, no matter how long it has been, that the animal be returned to us. Our adoption fee for cats and kittens is $150. Our dog and puppy adoption fee is $300. Check out our upcoming events here: http://www.humaneloudoun.org/events1.aspx
