Goose's Story

Meet Goose!

This one year old sweetheart was rescued from the Stanislaus shelter and has been winning hearts ever since. With his playful energy and gentle nature, Goose doesn’t have an aggressive bone in his body. He’s extremely friendly with both people and dogs and is the kind of pup who wants to be friends with everyone he meets.

Goose is currently about 59 pounds and may fill out closer to 65 to 70 pounds as he finishes growing. He’s very sweet, affectionate, and full of life. His tail truly never stops wagging. He loves being outside, going for walks, and playing as much as possible. Playtime is definitely one of his favorite things.

He’s a smart, food motivated boy who is eager to learn and picks things up quickly. Goose can be a bit vocal and plays with enthusiasm, but he does try to be gentle, even when playing with smaller dogs. On walks, he’s excited to meet everyone and brings a lot of happy energy wherever he goes.

Because of his size and exuberance, Goose would do best in a home with kids aged 8 and up who can comfortably handle a big, playful pup. He would love an active home that enjoys walks, outdoor time, and plenty of engagement. Goose is not a good fit for a home with cats.

If you’re looking for a fun loving, affectionate companion who will keep you smiling and be your loyal sidekick through thick and thin, Goose is ready to waddle right into your heart and home.
