Goober's Story

Howdy there fellow hoomans! My name is Goober, and I'm just a big goofball whose excitement is infectious. I've heard from Team Members around campus that I am very affectionate, a true social dog, a bit excitable but with a playful personality. I am super eager to engage with other dogs and people around me - everyone should be my friend! Overall, I've heard that I'm a fun-loving, affectionate, and social dog who thrives with guidance and paw-sitive reinforcements. Come on down and bring the whole family, and meet me today! Ruff!

A team member says, "Goober is a sweet, exuberant boy who loves spending time with you. He's been working hard on his leash manners and learning how to return the ball during fetch (he's a big fan of bouncing it around like a basketball to entertain himself.) He's a good listener and eager to please, and he'll thrive with someone who is willing to give him some attention and guidance. He loves to run around and be social, so he's got great potential as a hiking/running buddy."

Another team member says, "Goober is a big softie - if you call him over to you after he's gotten some zoomies out in the park, he'll come right over and lean into you for snuggles and pets."

Another team member adds, "Goober is a fetch fanatic, but specifically with tennis balls or similar shaped toys. You need to have a second one to trade, or scatter treats, when he runs back. After playing fetch for a while, when I sat on the chair in his kennel, he calmly stood with his head in my lap for affection."
