We have started his treatment and ASR will pay for all heartworm treatment expenses, as well as provide an ASR volunteer experienced with the protocol ( basically 3 -4 vet visits over 60 days, restricted activity--leash walks instead of ball playing during that time)<br/><br/>Despite the challenges Goliath has faced, the shelter veterinarian commented on how wonderfully sweet-tempered he is. Not many vets see that in German Shepherds :-)<br/><br/>Goliath is still getting to know the world, but he is gentle and loving with every volunteer he meets.
