Goldie is a peach! This sweet-natured girl found herself homeless when her beloved owner died. She was his WORLD and they did everything together. She has adjusted very well in her foster home after a grieving period. She loves people - the more lovings she gets, the better! This social butterfly will bark when someone pulls up in the driveway but then happily greets them in high hopes of some extra love and pats. She gets along great with other friendly dogs. Though she doesn’t play with them necessarily, she clearly enjoys their company. Goldie can be a bit of an alpha female sometimes, so she would probably do best with a friendly male dog or an indifferent female dog. As she does chase reactive cats, it’s best that she be in a home without access to cats. This little ray of sunshine is 100% house-trained and can be trusted to be left alone with personal property. She’s not destructive and she’s not much of a chewer. Though there’s still a lot of pep in her step, there’s not much interest in toys or fetch for this ol’ gal. Her favorite spot is on the couch or on the bed. All she really wants is to be right by your side. Literally. She will follow you anywhere to any room and lie at your feet. She prefers to be inside the home with you, but also doesn’t mind going outside for a stroll or to bask belly-side up in the sunshine. She will kindly bark when she wants outside or back in. She knows her name well, and she is incredibly well-mannered and willing to please. She doesn’t jump on you, doesn’t lick you, and will sit for a treat. If you’re planning on a car ride, please consider Goldie as your co-pilot! This dog LOVES car rides, whether it’s to grab a snack or to go no where in particular. She just hopes she is invited to tag along in the passenger seat. We think Goldie would be a better fit with homebodies than with folks that aren’t home a lot as that’s what she’s used to. She is absolutely precious and deserves an incredible home where she can be a part of the family and a beloved best buddy. Please consider her as your next shadow companion and couch warmer.
