Goldie's Story

Goldie is a beautiful mixed breed girl (our guess is lab mix) who is about 4 years old. She is crate trained, potty trained and walks well on a leash. She comes to us from SE Missouri where she used to roam free, often stopping at the local gas station where she always found a kind human to give her snacks. The animal control officer had seen her running loose for a long time and was eventually able to scoop her up and get her to safety.

Goldie loves people! She loves getting attention from her people, tucking her head under your arm to get some love. Patiently playing fetch with her toys. She warms up to strangers quickly and easily makes herself home. She is also a very calm girl that does very well on her own when you new to do other things around the house.

Goldie is not a fan of cats so a feline free home is a must. She would also do best in a home without other dogs or maybe with a low-key male dog. Goldie is dog friendly but does not like lots of activity or hyper dogs and does best with male dogs.

Goldie is a very sweet dog that would make an amazing addition to your family. If you are interested in this dog The first step is to go to our website and fill out an application. https://placingpawsrescue.org/applications/dog-application/

ADOPTION FEE: $400.00 The adoption fee includes all age appropriate vaccinations including rabies, HW test if age appropriate, de-worming, microchip, fecal, spay or neuter, Heartworm and flea and tick preventative. ADOPTION PROCESS: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application online at www.placingpawsrescue.org. Once we review the applications, those applicants that are thought to be a good match will be contacted as quickly as possible. We ask that you please be patient with us as we are all volunteers. Then a telephone interview will take place, references checked and a home visit will be conducted. We will then arrange for you to meet the dog. We require that all family members, including current dogs meet the dog prior to adoption. We put all of the known information in the animals description. If the animal is listed on the website, we are still accepting applications for that animal. We only remove the animal when the final adoption paperwork is signed. The best way to contact us is by email at placingpaws@yahoo.com. It is very difficult for the limited numbers of volunteers to return all calls. Thank you.
