Gobstopper's Story

Gobstopper is a happy, playful, and oh-so-sweet boy who loves just about everything, especially his people! He's an active, food-motivated guy who is eager to please and always ready to learn. Gobstopper enjoys playing and napping equally, and he loves both food and toys, so he's always up for whatever fun his day brings. Being a social butterfly he is eager to greet new friends, loves getting pets and attention, and would happily spend his day cuddling with his favorite humans.

Gobstopper lives with four cats and does decently well with them, although he occasionally needs some redirection when his curiosity gets the best of him. He has also been introduced to children and did fairly well. Although he has not yet lived with another dog in his foster home, he is very interested in playing with dogs and has tended to be submissive when meeting them. With his eagerness to please and love of treats, he'll be a fun pup to continue working with through obedience training. When it comes to his manners at home, Gobstopper is already an A+ student in both house training and crate training!

**Quick stats!**
--Dogs: has not lived with dogs in his foster home; interested in playing with dogs and has been submissive when introduced
--Cats: lives with four cats and does decently well; occasional redirection is needed
--Children: has been introduced to children and did fairly well
--Likes: food, toys, playtime, naps, cuddles, attention, meeting new friends, and being close to his people

If Gobstopper sounds like the right fit for your home, fill out an adoption application today! muttsofthemidway.org/adopt

Mutts of the Midway's Adoption Policy
Thank you for choosing to adopt and your interest in Mutts of the Midway. Once there is an interest in a dog, our adoption application is completed with that dog noted. The application is vetted and two personal references and one veterinarian reference are checked. If approved, a meet and greet is set-up with all family members (including children and other dogs) and the adoptable dog. If the adopter and foster family agree it is a good fit, the adoption contract is completed and the adoption fee ($350 for a dog 6 months and younger, $300 for a dog older than 6 months) is paid. Finally the pick-up of the new family member is arranged! All applications are processed in the order they are received and we strive to find the best home for each of our dogs. All adopted animals will go into their forever home current on vaccines, microchipped, spay/neutered, heartworm preventative and given a health exam.
