Gnocchi's Story

His coat is a dreamy white-cream that seems to glow, like a little halo around the fluffiest angel.
This little guy is all heart. He is loyal, sensitive, and always eager to please his “person.” And here’s the thing—Gnocchi has made it clear that he prefers women. His dream life is to be a pampered purse pup, trotting around town by his mommy’s side, tucked safely in her arms or bag, soaking up every ounce of love and attention.

Gnocchi’s past was rough. He was mistreated by a breeder after refusing to be used for breeding, and he came out of that experience extremely fearful—especially of men. When he first arrived, he barked at every male voice, hid behind furniture, and took months to decide if someone was safe. He just finished two months of work with a professional trainer, and he has made real progress. He can now warm up to men with patience, structure, and a calm environment—though it truly depends on the man. He has a funny way of “choosing” his favorites, and for others, he may need slow, steady introductions.

Because of his sensitivities, a calm, female-led home with no young children is where he’ll thrive. With the right person, he becomes a little marshmallow—cuddly, affectionate, and happiest snuggled up in bed like a tiny, living hot-water bottle. He loves batting around his stuffies and does well being left alone for short periods if there’s another small dog around. Otherwise, he’d much rather stick close to his person.

As with all Pomeranians, Gnocchi needs daily brushing to keep his glorious coat healthy and a monthly trip to the groomer. His fur should never be shaved or cut short, as Poms are prone to alopecia. He’s currently thriving on a raw food diet and, despite his size, is a very enthusiastic eater.
Gnocchi is now ready for his forever home—one filled with warmth, gentleness, and someone who wants a glowing little shadow following them from room to room.

As part of the adoption process, potential adopters will complete an application and pay a rehoming fee. Out-of-state adopters will be considered, but the adopter must fly into Austin to pick him up. He will not be shipped or transported by cargo or courier—only an in-person handoff to his new family.

If you’d like more information, please email patriciag@gmail.com for an application. Thank you.
