Glory's Story
The name Glory is of Latin origin, meaning “to shine” or “to be bright.” How appropriate for this lovely, lively Greyhound!

With her glossy black fur, Glory is certainly shiny and bright on the outside.

But her true radiance comes from within. Glory loves life, and it shows.

Glory is an early riser, excited to see what each new day may have in store. She actually “smiles” when she’s happy-and this is a very happy girl! Glory is captivated by plush toys, especially if they make intriguing squeaky sounds. She also enjoys expressing her creative side, which has found an outlet in “interior decorating.” Fortunately, no demolition is involved, just artfully rearranging pillows and throws from couches. In quieter moments, Glory relaxes by watching tv. Her ears perk up (quite adorably) when she hears a cat character purring.

Glory is a true food enthusiast, and always appreciates whatever “the chef” serves. Seemingly health minded, Glory has a special fondness for fruits and vegetables. She does not guard her food from canine housemates, but is not above stealing treats when the temptation becomes too great.

This bright girl is a fast learner and she wants to please. She already knows that counter surfing is not allowed and is working to overcome some separation anxiety and a fear of especially loud city noises.

Glory still has a bit of the puppy in her, which shines through as she discovers the pleasures of being a family member. Glory exudes love and seeks affection. She especially appreciates a good tummy rub, but welcomes all forms of kindness, generosity, and connection.

Are you seeking more of the shiny and bright in your life? If so, Glory may be the girl for you.

We adopt within 1 1/2 hours of Kansas City.
