Gloria's Story

Gloria is a stunning 6-year-old shepherd who quietly steals hearts the moment you meet her. Her journey hasn’t been an easy one. She was first found as a stray by Mesquite Animal Control and later adopted, only to be returned when her family realized three dogs was more than they could manage. None of this was Gloria’s fault.
The dedicated team at Mesquite Animal Shelter saw something special in her. They poured love into her, championed her, and worked endlessly to find her a home. Still, Gloria waited. And waited. After a full year in the shelter, she heartbreakingly ended up on the euthanasia list.
Just when time was running out, a lifeline appeared. The shelter reached out for help, and an incredible woman with a huge heart, stepped forward to foster. Because of her, Gloria was tagged for rescue just in time.
Now Gloria is safe and blossoming in her foster home, happily enjoying the good life with her foster mom and foster sister, Daisy. She’s thriving, relaxed, and showing everyone just how wonderful she truly is.
Gloria is one of those rare dogs who makes everything feel easy. She loves people, soaks up attention, and has a special appreciation for belly rubs. She does well with other dogs, though she may be a bit shy at first. With slow introductions, her sweet, gentle nature quickly shines through.
After all she’s been through, Gloria wants one simple thing: a forever family and a place to finally call home.
Please help us give Gloria the happy ending she’s been patiently waiting for.
You can apply to adopt Gloria on our website.
https://dfwfgf.org/adopt/
