Glenda Mae's Story

"This pretty-in-pink girl is Glenda Mae!

She is heartworm negative and around 45 lbs fully grown. While she was stressed out at the shelter, she's truly been living her best life in a foster home!

Glenda Mae always has a smile on her face and is a playful puppy at heart! She adores toys and loves to play tug-of-war and fetch! Her zoomies are the cutest thing you'll ever see . We like to joke that she looks like an arctic fox pouncing on her toys - but don't let her bounciness fool you! She's been very content to spend most of the morning and afternoon napping while I work. She's been doing great sleeping in her kennel through the night after some evening playtime too!

Glenda Mae is also a cuddle bug and loves to squeeze onto our laps for snuggles. We're working on potty training and she's learning leash manners as well; she's been doing great in her harness! When we took her to our usual walking path, she wasn't reactive to dogs or people (though she liked to stare at them walking by ).

Glenda can get mouthy during playtime and when getting harnessed up, so she would do best in an adult-only home or a home with older children who can patiently redirect her ."

On 9/15/25 I took Glenda outside for a bit. She came to the front of her kennel, but backed away when I opened the door. I moved slowly and was able to leash her. She walked slowly outside a froze a couple times due to the other dogs barking
Once outside? Complete 180. She was friendly and social with a playful attitude. Lots of zoomies back and forth. She met 2 other dogs and did great, zooming by them, baiting them into play. A total blast in a glass! Videos uploaded

ADOPTION POLICIES Each year, HSNEGA helps hundreds of rescues find loving homes. Our Adoption Center team will work with you to find the right dog, cat, or critter for your home. Our goal for pet adoptions is to select the best-suited match between an animal and an adopter. This process helps us maintain a very low return rate. Our team uses a matchmaking process to ensure each animal adopted will be matched to the most compatible new owner. During this process, we review any medical or behavioral information relevant to the animal, review services available to adopters, and explain our policies.
