Glenda 's Story
Meet Glenda 🤍

Glenda’s story began in heartbreak — but she has never stopped choosing love.

She was brought into the Fort Pierce shelter as a tiny puppy during a drug house raid. One by one, her siblings were adopted… but Glenda’s journey has been harder. She’s been misunderstood and placed in situations that simply weren’t right for her.

She was adopted once into a home with three cats and returned just four hours later — covered in scratches on her face from the cats. Through no fault of her own, she was overwhelmed and hurt. She later went to another home where proper introductions weren’t done with a resident dog, and that situation also ended badly. Since then, she has understandably developed anxiety around unfamiliar dogs after being attacked in the past.

And yet… she is still gentle. Still loving. Still hopeful.

Glenda is 2 years and 8 months old, 67 pounds of loyalty and heart. She is fully house-trained, sleeps through the night, doesn’t bark excessively, and is not destructive. She isn’t a picky eater and she doesn’t struggle with separation anxiety. She does great in the car, and her fosters love taking her out for calm little adventures. She especially loves going in the water — beach days are one of her favorite things. 🌊

At home, she’s a total couch potato who just wants to curl up beside her person. She loves walks, quiet outings, and especially snuggling. When she bonds with you, she bonds deeply.

Because of her past experiences, Glenda would do best as the only pet in the home. She has done well with slow, proper introductions, but she truly thrives in a calm, peaceful environment where she doesn’t have to share space or feel on edge. She is not suited for a home with cats due to her prey drive.

When she stayed with a pet sitter as the only dog in the home, she blossomed. Calm. Happy. Peaceful. That’s the life she deserves every single day.

Glenda is not a “problem dog.” She is a loyal, affectionate girl who needs the right setting — a quiet, loving home where she can feel secure and be someone’s whole world.

📍 Located in Fort Pierce, Florida
Meet-and-greets can be arranged, and transport within reason may be possible depending on location.

If you’re looking for a devoted companion who will ride shotgun, join you for peaceful adventures, splash in the water, and then cuddle up on the couch at the end of the day — Glenda is your girl. 🤍🐾

Reach out to us at
Olivebranchrescue@gmail.com
