Gizmo's Story

Gizmo is a handsome tricolor Beagle boy. His approximate age is 3 years old. He’s on the smaller side, about 25lbs. Gizmo has a shorter tail, we’re not sure if he was born like that or if something happened to his tail, however it does’t seem to bother him at all, it’s just a unique trait!

We were told that he was an outdoor dog, so he’s not potty/house trained. We’re currently working on crate training, to sleep indoors at night. His previous family had to move and couldn’t bring him over. He’s ok with other dogs and friendly with people, unknown about kids or cats, but he’s a friendly dog overall. He’s also an active dog, he’d love a home with a backyard to run and play. A loving home with an active Beagle experienced family would be amazing!

Included with adoption:

- Vet wellness exam
- Vaccinations up to date (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies)
- Rabies Certificate
- Fecal test (Pending results)
- FLEX4 test (Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Anaplasma and Lyme) (Pending results)
- Heartworm/Flea/Tick/Worm preventive given up to date (Simparica Trio)
- Microchip with prepaid lifetime enrollment (AKC reunite)
- Neuter surgery
- Leash and collar with microchip ID collar tag
- Adoption contract
- Some of his current food

Gizmo will be ready to be adopted by late January, after he heals from his neuter surgery. CA Beagles's Adoption Policy
We start providing the info and pics/videos of the dogs available for adoption. When we have a family interested in our dogs we send the adoption application form (we ask several questions and request pictures of the home where the dog would be living at). If the application is approved we move forward with the adoption contract. We meet with the potential adopter and the dog. If all goes well in the meeting the potential adopter can take the dog home after the meeting. Once the dog is adopted we do periodic follow ups to make sure it was a good fit and dog is doing well.
