Girlie's Story
Background: Girlie Girl is a 3 to 4-year-old sweetheart who spent her first years living in an off-grid desert environment. She was rescued from a rural Arizona property where more than 30 dogs lived without running water or electricity. Since coming into rescue, she has fully embraced the comforts of indoor living and especially loves air conditioning and soft, cozy beds. She is now ready to find a family of her very own.

Personality: Girlie is a gentle, easygoing girl who enjoys taking life at her own pace. She loves leisurely strolls where she can stop, observe the world, and explore her surroundings. She's definitely not a speed-demon walker! Girlie gets along well with people and other dogs, though she can be a little shy at first. Once comfortable, her sweet nature shines through.

Health: Girlie has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Training: Girlie is house-trained and rides well in the car. She walks nicely on a leash and enjoys daily strolls.

Ideal Home: Girlie would thrive in a home that appreciates her calm nature and enjoys taking relaxed walks together. She would do well with another dog or as a beloved companion, and she's looking for a family that will continue to give her the comfort, love, and security she deserves.

Adoption Requirements: Girlie’s adoption fee is $350. If you live in the Phoenix metro area and think she could be the right fit for you, please complete an adoption application*: helpadogsmile.org/adoption-application. Please complete an adoption application, even if you're undecided. Girlie's foster mom loves talking about her and would be happy to share more about this wonderful girl as she searches for her forever home.

*Please note that the application is not a commitment to adopt–it is a tool used to help determine if a dog and applicant would make a good match. Applications are forwarded to the foster family for review and follow-up.
