He was adopted through our rescue two years ago, but due to a breakup and major life changes, his family can no longer give him the time and attention he deserves.<br/><br/>His former family describes him as friendly and enthusiastic when meeting new people—sometimes a little vocal and overstimulated, but always full of love. Gio thrives on companionship and has been noticeably more anxious since the separation. His primary caregiver is now a full-time teacher, the girlfriend took Gio's dog friend with her, and, despite trying for several months to help Gio adjust, they’ve made the difficult decision to return him so he can find a home where he’s not so lonely.<br/><br/>We’re currently seeking a foster or adopter for Gio. In the meantime, we’ll be bringing his vaccines up to date.
