Gino's Story

Gino is a 7-month-old mixed breed who has now spent an entire month in our shelter, and in that time he’s shown us just how brave and determined he really is. When he first arrived, Gino was very scared of people and unsure of the world around him. While we don’t know what happened to make him feel that way at such a young age, we do know that he hasn’t let it stop him from trying.

Day by day, Gino is beginning to open up and make meaningful progress with our staff. He’s learning that hands can bring gentle pets, that people can offer yummy treats, and that play can actually be fun. He no longer walks around with his tail tucked, and instead is starting to show little glimpses of the happy, curious pup he’s meant to be.

We truly believe Gino just needs the right person — someone with patience, compassion, and a calm home — to help him continue building his confidence. With time and love, this sweet boy is sure to grow into a wonderful companion.
