Gingerbread Man's Story
Gingerbread Man is an approximately 1.5-year-old terrier mix with the cutest underbite you’ve ever seen and a personality to match. He’s still settling in with his foster, but one thing is already crystal clear: this boy is a big love. He’s social, affectionate, and happiest when he gets to be included in whatever you’re doing. If you’re working nearby, expect him to plop down close to you just to keep you company.

He’s got a wonderful mix of confidence and chill. Gingerbread Man enjoys toys, chew sticks, and good food, does well riding in the car, and gets along nicely with other dogs. He’s even been a good sport about bath time! While he doesn’t love being kenneled and can feel a bit anxious when left alone right now, his overall temperament is pretty relaxed, and his foster thinks this will improve as he settles into the routine and starts to feel truly “home.” He seems like the kind of dog who just wants to be part of the family and nearby more often than not.

Gingerbread Man is still polishing up his manners and routines. He’s working on potty training and learning to do his business outside, and leash walking seems promising so far. He’d probably enjoy having a dog friend, though he may be just as happy with regular playdates if he’s the only pup in the home.

Overall, Gingerbread Man seems like a great fit for most loving homes—especially one that enjoys a companion who wants to be included in daily life and is happy to offer a little patience as he finishes settling in and learning the ropes.

Thank you for considering an OTAT-WTX rescue! All pets are living in foster homes, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on core vaccines.

If you are interested in adopting, or for more information, please visit our website: https://otatwtx.org/how-to-adopt
