Ginger IX 25-142's Story

Ginger is a sweet and gentle shepherd mix weighing around 40-45 pounds, and she's ready to sleigh her way right into your heart. With her confident yet tender personality, Ginger loves people and thrives on human companionship - the perfect partner for cozy nights and joyful days.
She's great on a leash and makes an excellent walking buddy for crisp winter strolls. Ginger has done well with other dogs so far and seems excited about playtime, making her a wonderful candidate for doggy friends and holiday fun.
After being found as a stray and brought to the local shelter, Ginger's Christmas wish came true when CARE pulled her - and now she's hoping her next miracle is a forever home. Her loving, gentle spirit is the kind that turns a house into a home.
This holiday season, skip the wrapping paper - Ginger is ready to be the best gift you'll ever receive.

Ginger if full vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed, her adoption fee is $300.

Ginger is in the Paws in Prison program, where she receives basic obedience training. She graduated from Paws in Prison on 3/7/2026. The dogs in this program are provided basic level training under the AKC Canine Good Citizen standards and are specifically selected to be family and companion dogs. They spend 24 hours a day with their trainers. So, there will be an adjustment period as they adjust to their new family schedule.

For this reason, they will do best in homes where they are primarily inside dogs and spend lots of time with their families. The adoptive family will receive his training journal. This journal documents his arrival from the shelter, daily training progress, and interactions with the trainers.

If you are interested in meeting Ginger or learning more about our adoption process, please submit an adoption application.
