She has not been tested around cats and children. Ginger has been in the shelter for 9 months! That is way too long for any dog and she is kennel stressed, not putting her best paw forward when someone comes to meet her. Ginger needs a family/person that will give her the time she needs to decompress from her ordeal. Remember the 3/3/3 rule when adopting a dog. The family/person that does that will have the most loyal pooch anyone could want. Shelter staff feel she could live with another dog...

Here is what shelter staff had to say about Ginger:

Meet Ginger! Ginger is a 4-year-old bundle of joy who’s ready to fill your life with fun and love. This beautiful girl is heartworm negative and has just the right mix of playful energy and sweet affection. With her medium-to-high energy level, Ginger loves nothing more than zooming around the play yard—and yes, she can jump very high! But don’t worry, it’s all part of her playful spirit. Once she’s had her run, she’s happy to relax and enjoy some quiet time with you. Ginger already knows how to sit, and she’s eager to keep learning. She’s looking for an active family who will enjoy her spirited nature and give her plenty of opportunities to play, explore, and then unwind together. If you’re searching for a loyal friend with both pep in her step and love in her heart, Ginger is your girl!

Please contact League City Animal Care to arrange a meet’n’greet with Ginger. If you already have a dog please bring them with you for a proper introduction.

BREED: Bully breed blend

AGE: 4 Years
WEIGHT: 42 lbs

HEALTH: All rescue dogs are vaccinated, altered and micro-chipped

GOOD WITH: Other dogs; children, cats and other small animals unknown
