We watched her grow, we placed her with hope. But now, a year and a half later, Ginger has returned — and this time, we’re determined to get it right. She struggled in her last home with the amount of visitors and didn’t get along with the other family pet. <br/><br/>Ginger is absolutely stunning. With golden eyes that glimmer like the sun and a one-ear-up, one-ear-down signature look, she turns heads wherever she goes. <br/><br/>Ginger isn’t a dog for just anyone. She has lived in a home — but according to her former adopters, she’s selective with other dogs, and nervous around visitors. She needs someone who understands dogs, who won’t force affection, who respects boundaries, and who will patiently help her build trust at her own pace.<br/><br/>What Ginger Needs:<br/> • A quiet, adult-only home with a boring social life- or someone who is willing to crate her away from strangers while they’re in the home. <br/> • Someone experienced with nervous or under-socialized dogs<br/> • A slow introduction to any other pets<br/> • A securely fenced yard<br/> • A heart full of patience, and a willingness to let her come around on her terms<br/><br/>She’s not aggressive — just unsure. But once you’re “her person,” she’s yours for life. Ginger is incredibly loyal and will follow you to the ends of the earth (or at least to the kitchen). Screven County Spay & Neuter Corp.'s Adoption Policy
Adopters are thoroughly vetted to find the absolute best fit for the animal. References are required as well as vet references. All adopters MUST fill out an application. You will be notified if you are approved to adopt. Meet and greets are set up by appointment only after you’ve been approved. You are able to take the dog home with you after meet and greet and that is preferred. We do not hold dogs so please do not apply or set up a meet and greet unless you are ready to leave with your dog! Any vetting done at your own vet clinic will be at your own expense. Spay/neuter included in adoption fee must be done by one of our local partner vet clinics.
