Ginger's Story
Ginger is a rough collie and Australian shepherd mix. She started out with a couple who decided that they could not take care of her properly and was turned into a rescue that no longer exists. She was adopted at 10 months old into a loving home and was there until recently when the husband was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. The couple knew they could no longer care for her as they had to focus on his health issues. They loved her immensely over the years they spent with her.

Ginger is 6 years old. She is a sable collie mix. She weighs around 65 pounds. She is fully vaccinated, spayed and microchipped. She is heartworm negative. We have a good account of her previous medical history. Ginger is house and crate trained.

Ginger loves to cuddle. She enjoys spending time outside, but prefers the evening time when it is cooler outside. Ginger is fine with cats but is picky about other female dogs. She walks well on leash and has excellent recall off leash. She is timid of new situations and people and will take an extended time to adjust to her new setting. She will need a patient, understanding adopter to get to see the best of her loving personality.
