Ginger's Story

Hello! My name is Ginger, aka "Cuddle Bug." In addition to being sweet, I am incredibly smart and athletic. Although I may be a little stubborn, if you are patient and give me treats, I am very trainable. I am fully house trained and use the doggy door in my foster home. I am also a very good watch dog. I will pull on the leash at first, but with some correction and patience, I will calm down and walk nicely.

Those are my good traits. Now, let me tell you about my "challenging" traits. I LOVE riding in the car and will rest my head on your shoulder, but if you go in the store, I get anxious. I chewed through my foster Mom's seat belts. I will ride very quietly in a crate if you have to run errands. I may get a little anxious at home. I have chewed on my dog bed and a few blankets...BUT I haven't bothered furniture, shoes, etc. I lived in a foster home in Texas before being transported by the rescue network to Billings for a fresh start in life. I got along with the dogs in that home (all 12), but I am struggling with the dog in my current foster home and have been aggressive with visiting dogs. I need to be an only dog because I can be unpredictable. I have proven that on several occasions, even when unprovoked.

That being said, my foster Mom is in tears about me leaving because I am such a sweet, sweet girl. I deserve someone who will appreciate my cuddles and challenges.

If you want an extremely loyal, affectionate dog, I'm your girl.
