GINGER's Story

Meet Ginger, the world’s first official Pitbull–Kangaroo mix — part cuddle monster, part spring-loaded pogo stick! At 8 years young, she’s got the energy of a pup half her age and the leg power of a kangaroo who’s had too much espresso.

Her hobbies include long walks, squirrel surveillance (don’t worry, the squirrels are still undefeated), and launching herself into the air like she’s auditioning for the Australian Olympic team. (She even tried out for the Australian breakdancing team, but her skills weren’t fair to the competition)

After all that action, she’s a world-class snuggler. Ginger grew up with a dog and a cat, so she’s fluent in “furry languages.” She loves people of all ages, though beware: her greetings sometimes come with kangaroo hops.

And about those squirrels? Let’s just say they run their mouths from the trees, but none of them dare face her 40-inch vertical.

Life threw Ginger a curveball when her family had to move without her, but she’s ready to bounce into a forever home. She’s house-trained, spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and basically a spring-loaded love machine. If you want a loyal, hilarious sidekick who can out-jump your Fitbit goals, Ginger’s your girl! ?

Applicants must live within 60 min of Hamilton, NJ to be considered. A vet check will be conducted for each application and a solid vet history for current and past pets will be verified.

If you would like to meet GINGER, or for more information, please email PetRescueOfMercer@gmail.com or put in a non-binding dog adoption application on our website: https://www.petrescueofmercer.org/dogadoptionapp
