GINGER's Story

Ginger is a sweet, gentle senior lady who found herself back at PACC after several years away. Her person moved and was and unable to take her along, so Ginger really needs to find a new forever home. The shelter is no place for an older dog! In her former home, Ginger did well with other dogs and young kids, and was described as affectionate and playful. She loves toys, car rides and swimming. Ginger was unfortunately kept outdoors in her last home, so one main requirement for her future home is that she be welcomed indoors to be near her family. Ginger spent time in a foster home and we learned the following: - Ginger did great with kids and small dogs - She knows sit and down and is eager to please - She’s very sweet and just loves to be with her people. - She LOVES to cuddle and is very affectionate - She likes chew toys - She’s well-behaved - She’s a loving companion and will literally be your shadow During another foster stay Ginger was described as friendly, cuddly, and very easy to walk. She was well- behaved when left alone, loves chew bones, and was housebroken. She loved to nap the day away and sleep near her person at night. Here’s what one shelter volunteer said about Ginger: “I spent time with Ginger and found her to be a lovely girl. She is super sweet and easy to be with. She is easy to leash up and walk and she really enjoys and appreciates human companionship. We spent time in the yard, and she enjoyed exploring and getting in the pool. She was very good about coming to me when I called her name and she sat gently beside me and couldn't seem to get enough petting. She likes treats and will sit for them. This tender-hearted girl is a gem and sure deserves a stable forever home.” And, as an added bonus to all of her other wonderful qualities, Ginger also has just about the cutest underbite in all of Tucson!! She’s been appropriate, tolerant, easygoing, and even a bit playful when meeting other dogs in playgroup. No cats please! Ask to meet Ginger today!!
