He is a wonderful example of his breed and has a happy, affectionate personality despite a knee injury.<br/><br/>Gimli has a Grade 4 luxating (rotating) patella in his right rear leg, which means his kneecap is permanently out of place and does not return on its own. Luxating patellas are graded on a 1–5 scale, with Grade 5 being the most severe. Because of this, Gimli will need corrective surgery with a specialist in Missoula.<br/><br/>We are hoping to find a special adopter who is able to take Gimli to Missoula for his surgery, manage his post-operative care, and attend any required follow-up appointments."We can offer financial support toward his surgery, with details to be discussed with an approved adopter."
