Gimli's Story
Meet Gimli

Gimli is a sweet little bundle of fur who truly loves everyone he meets. He is a wonderful example of his breed and has a happy, affectionate personality despite a knee injury.

Gimli has a Grade 4 luxating (rotating) patella in his right rear leg, which means his kneecap is permanently out of place and does not return on its own. Luxating patellas are graded on a 1–5 scale, with Grade 5 being the most severe. Because of this, Gimli will need corrective surgery with a specialist in Missoula.

We are hoping to find a special adopter who is able to take Gimli to Missoula for his surgery, manage his post-operative care, and attend any required follow-up appointments."We can offer financial support toward his surgery, with details to be discussed with an approved adopter." Gimli’s left patella may also need repair later in life, which would be at the adopter’s full discretion and expense.

Even though his knee isn’t working quite right, Gimli doesn’t let that slow him down. He is a happy little guy who loves attention, happily dances for treats, and enjoys being around people. He is crate trained, friendly, and gets along well with everyone he meets.

Gimli is ready to bring joy, love, and tail wags to the right home—could that be yours?
