Gigi's Story

Meet Gigi! Gigi is around 5 years young, an affectionate pup with a heart full of love and a spirit that refuses to be dimmed. She recently finished weaning her puppies and is now focusing on her own health as she undergoes heartworm treatment. Despite some challenges—including lung inflammation likely caused by the heartworms—she’s receiving the best care and plenty of love from our dedicated volunteers. Gigi is incredibly sweet, gentle, and craves affection. She never misses a chance to snuggle and will happily soak up all the love you have to give. She’s also energetic and playful, though for now, she has to take things slow while she heals. Thankfully, she’s found comfort in her friends Malcolm and Louise, who have been the perfect companions, keeping her spirits high with gentle play and companionship. Gigi still has a tough road ahead, but with the support of her friends—both human and canine—she’s staying strong. Please keep her in your thoughts as she continues her recovery. If you’d like to support Gigi’s journey, reach out to learn how you can help or donate toward her care. This sweet girl has so much love to give, and we can’t wait to see her thrive in the happy, healthy future she deserves!
