Mama to the red puppies, this girl is a border collie/mountain cur mix who seems to have gotten the best of both breeds. She is spunky and athletic, and equally sweet and trainable. She is eager to please and very reward driven; she knows a variety of commands and is learning new ones each week. <br/><br/>Gigi loves her humans! She regularly seeks out her foster mom, laying at her feet when she’s getting ready in the bathroom or washing up dishes after dinner. She will give you as many kisses as you let her, and when she is tired or overstimulated, you’ll find her in her crate.<br/><br/>Gigi grew up on a farm and loves to be outside - when she is excited she bounds across the yard like a deer! She needs her time to run and transitions quickly to down time. She will be a fantastic hiking partner and would likely do well in a dog sport. <br/><br/>Gigi is still learning about doggy socialization and will need structured introductions to new humans and dogs. Fortunately, she warms quickly and LOVES to be around her tribe. She is crate trained and does well with the household dogs and cats. She is curious but gentle with chickens - this will require some training. Gigi will live her best life in a household with children over the age of 12. <br/><br/>If you are the perfect forever home for Gigi, please fill out an application and contact her foster parents at jenn_james@outlook.com. BRBCR’s approval process includes phone interviews, reference checks, and a home visit prior to meeting a foster dog. Approved applicants must meet at the foster dog’s location.
