Gigi's Story

Gigi is a 1-year-old, 30 lb sweetheart who is vaccinated, spayed, and making amazing progress in foster care every single day. While she can be timid at first, underneath that shy exterior is a loving, smart dog who just needs a little patience and encouragement to fully come out of her shell.

She’s currently living with a 3-year-old child and a 5-year-old dog sibling and has been doing wonderfully with both. Having another confident dog around really helps Gigi feel more secure. She loves to play with her foster dog sibling and follows her lead on walks and during new experiences.

Gigi is walking very nicely on leash, doing well with crate training, and her potty training is improving every day. She’s now pooping outside consistently and uses potty pads for accidents indoors like a champ. She can still feel nervous outside and tends to look around cautiously with her tail tucked, but with patience, routine, and support, she’s becoming more confident every day.

Gigi would thrive in a calm, loving home that understands shy dogs and will give her the time she needs to settle in and blossom. Another friendly dog in the home could be a huge bonus for her confidence.

Once Gigi trusts you, you’ll have the sweetest little companion by your side.
