Gigi's Story

Gigi Granita is a beautiful, playful, fun, affectionate, smart and sometimes stubborn, four-year-old, 50-pound, female black and white Cattle Dog/Lab-mix looking for a loving guardian.

Gigi is perfectly housetrained and crate-trained. She knows the commands sit, down, paw and roll-over. She’s been a good apartment dog. She does have a strong personality and lets you know when she doesn’t feel like following instructions.

Gigi thinks she’s a lap dog and LOVES to play ball. She often finds stray tennis balls on her daily walks to bring home. She gives kisses and absolutely adores her people. She loves her leashed walks, is phenomenal in the car. She’s good with other dogs upon proper introduction, and is currently living with two male huskies.

Found as a stray, she was dropped off at Chicago Animal Control and taken in by Friends of Petraits Rescue.

She is healthy, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on rabies, distemper, bordatella and leptospirosis vaccines. She is fecal and heartworm tested negative, and on monthly preventative. Her adoption fee of $150 benefits the rescued pets of Friends of Petraits Rescue.

If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting Gigi Granita, please fill in an adoption application at https://friendsofpetraits.com/dog-adoption-application/ and follow up by contacting friendsofpetraits@gmail.com to make an appointment to meet her.

She is being fostered in Chicago.
