Meet Gia
*PLEASE NOTE: This dog belongs to Rover’s Retreat, Angel’s Bark is just helping her find her forever home. The first step in the process is to fill out an adoption application on our website roversretreat.org *
Meet Gia! Gia is a 6 month old golden retriever/ Corgi mix who came into rescue with her other littermates when her former owner had an ‘accidental litter’. She has spent the last couple weeks getting settled with her foster family and is now ready for her forever family!
Gia is a sweet little girl who is a world champion cuddlier. She is definitely a lap dog once she is comfortable with you. Gia and her littermates lived their whole lives inside a house before coming into rescue, so they are unsocialized and initially pretty timid of new people. Gia is making progress everyday and in a matter of 24 hours at her foster home she had already turned a corner, playing with her doggie foster brother and coming up to her foster parents. She will definitely need a patient adopter dedicated to working with her and socializing her to get her more comfortable around new dogs and people. Gia certainly gravitates more towards other dogs, so a confident doggie playmate is a requirement in her adoptive home.
Gia’s potty training is still a work in progress, but he is doing better and better everyday. With a couple nice walks and regular, structured potty breaks throughout the day she does great! Gia is getting used to, and loving walks. She follows her doggie foster brother around everywhere, so he is showing her how great walks, meeting new friends, and going new places are. Gia has not had much exposure to any new things, including riding in the car. She does tend to get carsick, but with more time and exposure on shorter trips she will get better in this area.
Gia is going to be an amazing pup for the right people. If you’re interested in adopting Gia please fill out an adoption application on our website roversretreat.org

*PLEASE NOTE: Gia is being fostered in Chino and her adoption fee is $500*
