Ghost's Story

Meet Ghost! He came to the shelter as a surrender and is about 4 years old. He has been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Ghost is a handsome doggy with a big heart and an even bigger need for a place to truly call home. He’s incredibly friendly and naturally drawn to people—whether it’s leaning in for pets, following you around for company, or greeting you with excited energy, Ghost just wants to be near you. Underneath his sweet and loyal personality, though, shelter life has started to take a toll. The constant noise and lack of a stable environment have made him stressed. It’s not who he really is—it’s just where he is right now. Ghost would thrive in a calmer, more predictable home where he can finally relax and feel secure. As an energetic German Shepherd mix, he needs space to move, play, and burn off his energy—whether that’s long walks, a yard to run in, or engaging activities that keep both his body and mind active. With the right environment, patience, and love, Ghost can blossom into an incredibly devoted and balanced companion.

If you'd like to meet Ghost you can call (540) 778-2101 or email animalshelter@pagecounty.virginia.gov.
