Ghost's Story

If interested, please contact the foster home. Petfinder Profiles doesn’t always work.

Please allow me to introduce you to Ghost, a 14-week-old, 11 pound black and white ACD female. Ghost immediately integrated into her foster home along with her brother Gremlin, also 14 weeks, black and white. As siblings, Ghost and Gremlinenjoy their life together in their foster home but both exhibit a willingness to be independent.
Ghost is very alert and attentive to the humans around her, she enjoys responding to commands and is doing quite well on leash training. Inside her home she remains respectful to the belongings and enjoys chewing on stuffed toys while resting in her posh bed. She identifies her kennel as a quiet and safe place that she retreats to whenever she wants some alone time. As for her personality, she exhibits a high degree of intelligence and is highly affectionate. She has a good appetite and is growing quickly.

She is well on her way to potty training outside (but at this time may have a mistake or two indoors if her attempt to alert us is overlooked) and she has a good start on many basic commands like sit, stay, come and “NO”. She is good around adults and kids, other dogs and comfortable around cats. When kenneled or in a vehicle she is quiet. Cattle dogs are high energy dogs who know they are equal members of the family. She would be a great running/hiking buddy. She would not be happy being left in a yard by herself.

She was abandoned in Georgia and rescued on Halloween. She has had his first two distemper shots, her kennel cough vaccine and been dewormed. She and her brother, Gremlin are being fostered in Maine.

Contact cknight@gmail.com,

Complete an Application:

https://www.acdra.org/adoption-application
